Balmonds Skincare Review

| |

Like a lot of people at the moment, we’ve been washing our hands a lot more and using things like hand sanitiser more than usual. This has really been drying our hands out, to the point of being slightly irritating. So when the lovely team at Balmonds Skincare contacted us and asked if we’d like to try out some of their products, we were very excited.

Balmonds Skincare

Our initial thought when opening the items was how lovely and simplistic the packaging is, a lot of brands now you see them hide behind their branding to disguise the fact that they aren’t always the beat products. With Balmonds that isn’t the case, they pride themselves on having all natural ingredients that they source with such care and the look of their products really matches the type of authentic brand that they are.

Intensive Hand Cream.

The first product we tried was their Intensive Hand Cream. In a tall slim bottle it fits perfectly into our changing bag, and would also fit into my hand bag without taking up much room. The product itself is so creamy, I sometimes find with hand creams they leave my hands feeling greasy and slippery, which wasn’t the case with this hand cream at all. I also love how there isn’t an overwhelming scent to the product, I prefer my skin care products to be unscented as I find that scented skin care just smells too false.

The product includes Shea butter, which leaves your hands feeling nourished and soft (and with how dry my hands have been at the moment, this has been hugely helpful!). A little really does go a long way with this product, and it leaves your skin feeling so hydrated. The hand cream is free from parabens, petrochemicals or perfumes, and is suitable for people who may be prone to hand dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis and dry, sore, itchy skin conditions.

Skin Salvation.

The real star of the show however, has been the Balmonds Skin Salvation. Having used this, I can now understand why it’s award winning! The product is oil based and contains beeswax, making it more of a balmy texture than the hand cream. To use this product you take a small amount and rub it between your fingers to warm it up, and then apply it to the area in question.

Grayson has had rough skin on his forearms for a number of months now, nothing that effects him or hurts him but they just feel slightly bumpy. We’ve tried a few different products to smooth the affected skin, and so far we’ve found a few products that help but nothing they completely clears the skin. However, we’ve used the Skin Salvation on his forearms for just over a week and one of his forearms is now completely clear and his other is significantly smoother! I didn’t expect any miracles, but this stuff has helped massively.

This product can actually be used by all ages (youngest starting from 6 weeks) and again is suitable for people who may be prone to dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis and other skin conditions. It can also be used for tattoo aftercare.

These are just 2 of the products that Balmonds Skincare have, and being a big skincare fan I’ll definitely be looking into the other products they have on offer having loved both of the products we were kindly sent!

Another big selling point is that Balmonds as a company are extremely community minded, often running promotions for care workers and NHS staff.

Overall, these products really haven’t disappointed and represent Balmonds so positively as a brand. We would definitely recommend them to everyone, and will definitely be repurchasing these items and trying some of the other products they have on offer.
