I felt that this Christmas book needed to be included in Blogmas, because it’s such a beautiful item and really made me feel like Christmas was well and truly on its way! One of my favourite Christmas traditions is to get Grayson a special book to read on Christmas Eve. It’s just something we’ve always done, and we will continue to do until Grayson asks us to stop.
Now that he’s at an age of really understanding much more about Christmas and all the magic surrounding it, I was on the hunt for a book that would really speak to his imagination.
So when we were asked if Grayson would like a personalised story book by the author Mike Molloy, we had to say yes! I had a look at some of the other books in his collection, and not only were the stories lovely and relevant to so many daily scenarios, the illustrations are so beautiful too.
We were asked for a picture of Grayson and a physical description of him, as they match the main child in the book to look like your little one! When it arrived Grayson had THE BIGGEST smile on his face, and when I told him the book was about him he just kept going “look mummy, it’s me!”.
I’m saving the story for Grayson to read on Christmas Eve, as it’s so magical but I’ve had a read of it already and can guarantee that he’s going to adore it.
It involves Skinny Monkey being lost, and going on an adventure to make his way back to Grayson. On the way back he meets some very exciting new friends! It’s beautiful quality, and you can tell a lot of thought and care has gone into it. It’s also a lovely keepsake for your children to look back at over the years.
